about

Making friends at a punk show when you had a synthesizer and laptop under your arm was hard. People would tell us they hated us while we were setting up because we "used keyboards". These same people would be dancing by the end of our set.
Hip Hop artists dropping vocals, Technical Death Metal guitarists collaborating on tracks, driving around for hours recording radio static and road noise, Strange times indeed. Somewhere along the way all of these tracks were created and shuffled into the archives. We passed them around on mix tapes, CDR's and played them out on the radio, but they never got a proper release.
So here they are at last.

A couple of track notes:
1: Teknostepno - This was a live show mainstay for years. Another version exists with samples worked in.
2: Four More Years - Has nothing to do with politics.
3: Ramen - I was broke, but I had gear, I told people I would remix for Ramen just to make sure I could eat. Some friends showed up with a couple of clearance bin CD's and 2 flats of Instant Ramen. I got to work. The samples were grabbed late night with a Boss SP202 connected to a busted TV while a friend flipped between channels.
4: Safe - Real voicemail. Played a live version a couple of times. I think there are some other versions of this track floating around.
5: 3AM - Late Late night with Asher Fulero, a Digi-001 system, Clavinet, Boss drum machine and an old tiny Akai Sampler.
6: Rise - Originally started as a remix, this became something much larger when P[h]aze III of the 512 Collective (AKA Brother Justice) dropped his vocals on it.
7: G3 (Live) - We were never able to really capture how huge this beast sounded live. This recording is the closest we got.

Hope you enjoy.
-Tom
